With an Internet connection, ABBYY Lingvo also provides for the first time access to an extensive online translation memory (TM) database for English, German and French. The program shows examples of the modern use of words and phrases in sentences from fiction and technical literature, legislative and legal documents, from Internet sites. With the help of this database, the user will be able to quickly select the exact translation of a word, determine whether the phrase is actually used in speech, find new translation options and examples of their use. The translation memory database already contains over 1 million sentences and is constantly growing.
